Yemen is one of the world’s poorest countries and just two years ago, the country began fighting a deadly war.
The premise behind the war stems from a division of support between the internationally recognised government and the Houthi Rebel Movement.
Since March, 2015 over 6,000 people have been killed and over 20,000 civilians have been injured by Saudi Arabian air strikes. Ironically, the Saudi Arabian government are in support of Yemenis President, Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi.
To demonstrate its support, the Saudi Arabian government imposed a multinational coalition with nine other Middle Eastern countries, in the hopes that Yemen’s civil war will eventually work in President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi’s favour.
This has now resulted in a tragic humanitarian crisis as thousands of children and babies are dying of hunger. The country is also under a new threat as rebel forces have entered the south of the country. Those rebel forces are also known as Al Qaeda.
This Valentine’s Day, FTTC would like to encourage all of our readers to help the innocent children and babies of Yemen. Just a small donation of just five pounds can help to put some comfort into the hearts of the vulnerable people of Yemen.
If you would like to make a donation, please check out some of the charities that are helping the children and babies in Yemen:
