London’s Borough of Camden continues to prove itself to be the capital’s live music core. A night out in the borough will guarantee you not only one hell of a time, but also an exposure to a musically diverse area.
From the hard metal, pop-rock atmosphere of Underworld (or Worlds End Camden) to the smooth soulful sounds spun at Jazz Café. From KOKO at the entrance of Camden High Street to Forum in Kentish Town, Camden offers an array of music venues that appeal to a variety of musical tastes.
Not surprising, given that Camden has been home to some of the biggest musicians in history, housing the likes of Amy Winehouse and Coldplay’s Chris Martin.
This September, the iTunes Festival returns to the borough for its seventh year, after a very successful reception to its first showing back in 2008, at the aforementioned KOKO. One of London’s biggest and most renowned music events will be held at the iconic Roundhouse, Camden.
The month-long musical event will feature 30 nights of live music from global music superstars. A stellar list of acts has been announced to perform live for music fans that are able to attend the events for free.
Following electrifying performances from the likes of Lady Gaga, Bastille, Katy Perry, Kendrick Lamar and Justin Timberlake last year, organisers of the show have pulled out all the stops to offer a similar list of performances for 2014.
Although not all acts have been confirmed, the show is set to feature performances from Calvin Harris, Sam Smith, Pharrell Williams, Lenny Kravitz and pop siren Kylie Minogue.
There are free tickets only available to Apple ID users who can apply for tickets through the official website, or downloading the iTunes Festival app through the App Store.
Ticket winners will be contacted via email to inform them about tickets and shows they will be able to watch and each ticket guarantees entry for the ticket winner, and a guest.
Apple’s iTunes TV is also offering the opportunity for those who are unsuccessful is bagging tickets to stream each show live via the Itunes Festival Website or via the app each night.
